VOX Global is seeking a n experienced, creative and organized A rt D irector to join our team . The Art Director will be a leader within the firm and will help energize the creative pro cess for a wide range of client projects. The most successful candidate will be able to st r ike a balance between strong visual aesthetics and strategic problem solving , by delivering highly creative designs that are focused on the audience’s needs and client goals . With at least one direct report, the Art Director will be an emerging people manager, while also engaging in hands-on design work , day to day. This role will be involved in a wide range of creative deliverables from digital experiences to social media campaigns, to long form documents, the Art Director will have the opportunit y to influence a wide range of creative as s ignments .Based in Washington, DC, VOX Global is a full – service public affairs firm that relies on a wide variety of communications skills to deliver messaging that resonates with our clients’ target audiences.   • Able to develop simple and elegant design solutions to complex design problems
  • A solid understanding and demonstration of user-centered design principles
  • Ability to deliver creative concepts that align with brand and style guidelines
  • The ability to lead the design of large and complex projects from concept to completion
  • Collaborate in teams comprised of designers, developers, and copywriters
  • Provide creative feedback and critique as part of team and client reviews
  • Partner with account team to develop innovative solutions to our clients’ needs
  • Present to clients and clearly communicate creative & technical decisions

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of work experience in a design role
  • Experience managing or mentoring other creatives
  • A c ompelling portfolio of distinctive work with examples of website design, social media and print capabilities
  • Experience working with large consumer brands
  • E xperience with web protocols, standards, and technologies
  • Basic u nderstanding of HTML/CSS
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop & InDesign)
  • Experience using Figma and Figjam
  • E xceptional written and oral communication skills
